Tick twister / tick hook (plastic V-fork)

A small plastic V-fork that slides under the tick at skin level; two or three gentle rotations release the mouthparts cleanly.

Steps

schema.org/HowTo
  1. 01
Choose the hook size that matches the tick — smaller hook for nymphs, larger for engorged adults.
  2. 02
Slide the V of the hook along the skin until the tick is trapped at the base of the V.
  3. 03
Lift very lightly so the hook is flush with the skin, not pulling.
  4. 04
Rotate the hook 2-3 turns in one direction; the tick releases without twisting the body.
  5. 05
Clean the bite site and inspect for retained mouthparts.
