Tick attraction is driven by CO2, heat, and odor cues, not clothing color; light colors only help you spot ticks more easily.

01
DO NOT believe that yellow, white, or any specific color repels ticks.
02
Ticks find hosts by sensing exhaled CO2, body heat, vibration, and skin chemistry. Color does not figure into their host-seeking behavior the way it can with some flying insects.
03
What light-colored clothing does help with is visibility: a dark tick is easier to spot crawling on light fabric, so you can flick it off before it attaches.
04
Wear long, light-colored pants tucked into socks, treat clothes with 0.5% permethrin, and use a repellent on skin.
